The vision for Tapestry Fort Collins, Colorado, is to establish sustainable and equitable homeownership opportunities that effectively address affordable housing needs and the challenges faced by the "missing middle." Tapestry is committed to fostering a community that unites individuals from diverse backgrounds, age groups, and life stages, thereby creating an inclusive, mixed-income environment.
This initiative, supported by Hartford Homes, Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity, and the Odell family, aims to develop Tapestry Fort Collins at the southeast corner of Buckingham Avenue and 3rd Street. The historically significant site, linked to the sugar beet industry, will feature 20-plex multi-family buildings that complement the architectural character of the surrounding neighborhood.
The Tapestry Fort Collins project is designed to blend with the community and enhance its character. By using native plants and open green spaces, it aims to preserve the area's natural beauty while encouraging social interaction and fostering a more diverse and inclusive environment.
In this project, I created the concept plan for city submission and community engagement. I used AutoCAD, InDesign, and Photoshop to complete a high-quality rendering.
